Our annual drop from Shepherd of Sweden is here and we have some exciting new styles for the season, along with our traditional favourites which customers come back for. It’s lovely keeping core products but introducing new styles is a real joy. We’ve taken a twist on the traditional Annie/Anton slipper and have introduced a very on trend, extra fluffy variation, the Amelia. Usual pinched overlock seams have been replaced with flat and top stitched seams for a clean finish, the immensely fluffy sheepskin front dominates and gives a very luxurious appearance.

Another new introduction is the Jessica, a traditional mule with wool top cuff which we love, and we hope you do too. Feedback has shown us that the mule is very much an iconic and favoured style of slipper, with the combination of warmth and ease they are a staple for in the home/office. We have taken on the Steffo loafer for menswear, this style has been a firm favourite and we are pleased to have a similar alternative available from Shepherd of Sweden, for those who are brand loyal.

Our big delivery for October has hit the warehouse floor so those who have been waiting for the arrival in time for Christmas, we recommend you get your gifts early as we won’t have another due this year; Shepherd is so sought after we find that we often end up with limited stocks leading up to the festive holidays. It’s not just footwear though, we have plenty of homewares made using the finest sheepskin and wool.

Given the forecast for the economy this winter, we are all concerned about costs and warming our homes using the cheapest methods we can. One item we strongly recommend investing in is a sheepskin hot water bottle, we have sold them from Shepherd of Sweden for several years now and they are hugely popular. Due to the natural properties of sheepskin, these covers retain the heat for many hours, often in the morning the bottle is still hot from the night before and these covers are a great alternative to keeping warm and you’ll only have to boil the kettle once. Shepherd of Sweden footwear is expensive, but we feel the investment is very worth it, with the right care you should have several years of wear from them and they are not only warm but also natural and antibacterial and the materials used are better for the environment.
