So many of us are choosing a staycation this year and with the summer holidays now in motion, campsites and holiday lets are predicted to have their biggest trading season yet, especially as foreign travel is still quite a headache. Our team at Lambland are quite fond of a staycation, the bonus being that you can be more relaxed with what items you pack and if you have a sizeable motor vehicle, you aren’t limited to a suitcase and stringent weight restrictions, a perfect opportunity to travel in upmost comfort. In my experience, I find foreign travel much more stressful and restrictive… at least with a staycation you can move at a more leisurely pace and you are usually in the comfort of your own surroundings, you can take those extra jumpers in case the weather makes a turn, you can take more books and magazines, perhaps a BBQ and picnic blankets.
Our shops in Ilfracombe Harbour and online have a lovely stock of new recycled picnic blankets which we think would make the perfect addition to your British getaway, they are super soft and warm providing both comfort around a BBQ but can also be wrapped around shoulders on a chilly evening. Our newest addition is our luxury rug roll with waterproof backing, very essential for the British weather. It is made using British recycled yarn which has been re-spun and finished in a keith check pattern, the blanket rolls nicely and has two webbed straps to secure tight whilst being transported on your journey.
If you are after something a little cheaper, we have our recycled environmentally friendly picnic blankets, they come at random and no two blankets are the same making them unique to each individual. If you feel a bit cold, these do not have a waterproof backing so are great for wrapping around yourself or draping over a chair for the evening.
