Although wool is a springy, after long use it may tend to drop a bit. Most of the time, you can remove dust and loose particles easily by using a wire brush to bring up the wool pile a bit. You can also shake the rug vigorously to remove small particles

If you do machine wash make sure you use the Cool Wool setting and use a non-Bio powder or shampoo. The shampoo should be specially manufactured for use with sheepskin product, such as our Lambland Woolwash.

Rinse thoroughly with cool water and gently spin to remove excess water. Dry naturally without direct heat or sun. Stretch the skin during drying to help prevent shrinkage, again brush vigorously to restore the pile.

When delivered your Sheepskin rug may have been tightly packaged so the wool may appear flattened and crushed.

Wool fibres are very resilient and will soon go back to their original appearance.

A vigorous shake will help restore the soft, fluffy appearance of the wool. Any fold marks from packaging will disappear once the skin has been removed from the package for several days.
